Margaret Hooks
Owner and Producer
Margaret was born in Texas, and as a pilots daughter, she experienced several moves in her childhood finally planting some roots in Charlotte in the early 80’s. She met her future husband while attending Providence Day School, then attended Presbyterian Nursing School, and accepted a job at her soon to be in-laws business which changed her career path considerably! After graduating from college Margaret married her “High School Sweetheart”! They both continued to work at the family business known as Party Reflections, a special event rental production company based in Charlotte for over 50 years. After having 2 wonderful boys, Margaret decided to take a 2 year leave of absence to raise them. In 2001 Dan put Margaret back to work when they purchased a bridal show and renamed it The Bridal Showcase, now the largest bridal show in the Carolinas. With her extensive knowledge of the party rental industry and all of its vendors, it was a great “marriage”.
This year Margaret celebrated her 10th anniversary as show producer. It is with great joy that Carolina Weddings and Events will introduce a new show to their line up in May 2011. Margaret enjoys time with her family, traveling and photography.
Heidi Crowder
Senior Sales Executive
Heidi was born in California, but moved to Charlotte, NC at a young age. She graduated from UNCG with a major in Fashion Design and Marketing. While in school she traveled abroad for a semester to France and many other countries in Europe. She graduated in 2006 and finished her internship in NY. Very eager to live in the big city she decided to stay. While there for 3 years Heidi gained valuable knowledge and experience while working for a couple of fashion designers and a PR company.
After meeting her future husband at her “Best Friend’s Wedding” and missing the south, Heidi moved back to NC to be closer to home. She was married in September 2010 in Charlotte. She really enjoys every aspect of a wedding especially all that went into the planning of her own wedding.
Heidi is the Senior Sales Executive for Carolina Weddings and Events and enjoys helping produce The Bridal Showcase twice a year. She & Margaret look forward to CW&E’s newest venture, The Carolina Baby Showcase, on May 14, 2011.
